This is NYPD police officer Lawrence DePrimo of the 6th precinct, he was standing a foot post in Times Square when he noticed an elderly homeless man walking in the frigid cold with no shoes. The officer walked to a nearby shoe store and purchased a pair of size 12 all weather boots for $75. he then went to the old man and presented him with his new boots. A tourist from Arizona snapped this shot and emailed it to the NYPD. This cop spent his own money to help a homeless man, when so many badmouth cops, remember the job they do is hard and they are under appreciated, and many of them go above and beyond like officer DePrimo.

Honestly, being from NYC I do dislike the things that the NYPD does sometimes. But I know that they are not all assholes/as bad as people make them out to be. I hope this restores some faith that cops aren’t all corrupt. That man is awesome :)
