I feel so unbelievably lucky to be performing this piece, this is my favorite choral piece of all time and the text is absolutely beautiful.

giving silence for silence.I was lucky enough to perform this song my senior year of high school. Listening to it is one thing, but wow, when you perform it you feel the intensity and despair nestled into the words. It is ridiculous. Whitacre is a genius.
Overrated song. Overrated composer.
